How to Add Photos and Links to the Forum (insert, upload, link/image, bbcode)

This forum topic explains how to add a photo or hyperlink to the Forum on DiveBuddy (also applies to blog articles, event descriptions, comments, etc.).

In order to add a link or image you need a URL. A URL is the web address of something on the Internet. If the image you want to share does not exist on the Internet yet, you can upload it to your DiveBuddy profile, then get the URL of the image to post in the Forum.

To get the URL of an image:
- Google Chrome: Right-click on the image and choose "Copy image URL".
- Internet Explorer: Right-click on the image and choose "Properties", then highlight and copy "Address: (URL)" value.

You can use the "Add Link/Image" option on DiveBuddy to insert a hyperlink or image. The inserted code is added to the bottom of the text field so you may need to copy/paste the code to move it.

You can also use basic BBCode or HTML to insert links and images:

Plus, for hyperlinks, you can always just type out the URL and once it’s submitted, my code will automatically convert it to a clickable link...as long as it starts with http:// or www.
