Anyone been certified as a Deep Diver in NJ? I’ve been told it cannot be done here, that I’d have to take a trip to NC or further to get the cert.

Well it’s a long ride out to 130’, most of the boats like the Seeker going to the deeper wrecks I think are coming out of Long Island.

I also know a instructor who has his own shop in newport Rhode Island. Very nice guy and very qualified. I can hook you up. You can get to 90 from the shore. Or 150 on a 10 minute boat ride.

There are many local places to do deep diver cert. Several NJ wrecks come to mind, as well as several in the St. Lawrence (half the distance from you as NC). There are also a few spots out Long Island way. Let’s discuss at Dutch on Saturday. I can point you to several instructors who will help you out with this cert.
