 Looking for a Cavern Diving Buddy near Destin, FL!

My name is Chris and I’m a student at Texas A&M. I’m looking for a dive buddy near Destin or Ponce de Leon, FL to join me this Saturday morning, March 8th. I would like to do 2 or 3 cavern dives at Vortex Springs or Morrison Springs (or both?).

I’ll only be in Florida for a short period of time but if I can’t find anyone for this date I may also be able to dive on the 11th or 12th. I may also be willing to drive to other locations near Destin if I can’t find anyone for these sites so please let me know if you’re interested and available.
I’ve been to Morrison and Jackson Blue and what I’ve read about Vortex makes it sound like a good location. I’m open to other caverns as well.

The NSS-CDS certified me in cavern diving and I have made about 15 cavern dives in about 7 locations. As much as I’d like to explore more of the cave I’ll be sticking with the 60 meter penetration limit. I’m an AAUS Scientific Diver and I have about 200 dives. I will have all of my gear with the exception of a tank. My gear is set up to dive a single tank.

I’ll be in North Florida, March 14, in case your travel plans change. Blue Grotto or other caverns are fair game. BTW, do you know how to post on this site? Must be getting old but can’t figure it out.

Hi Guys. Cisom17, I’d also recommend Ginnie Springs, Paradise Springs, Orange Grove Sink, Peacock 1. I love Orange Grove and Peacock.
