Hey there everyone! I’m a new member and this is pretty late notice, but I was hoping to do a dive some time over my Spring break (between this saturday, the 9th through next saturday, the 16th). I’m a VA resident planning on driving down and was hoping to find a buddy. I do realize that it’s very late notice, but I actually had no idea a site like this existed! :) Please let me know ASAP if you’re interested.

First of all, thank god you found DiveBuddy :). Second, on such short notice I would recommend that you go to our scuba earth page, click on the area you’ll be diving, and click on a few members. In the pop-up window on the map, you’ll be able to send a direct message to the diver. Write a short but sweet message asking if they are interested in diving with you, and copy that message to send to a few more divers. In no time, you will have contacted a handful of members and your chances of getting a reply are better since notice is so short. Good luck!

Hey Rich! Did you get to do some diving in NC? If so, let us know how it was. My in laws live up that way and I’d love to share your Crystal Coast dive experience with them.

I actually decided to save my money and spend Spring break economically :P My first dive was in Lake Skaneateles in upstate NY and after checking the marine report, I decided that another dry suit dive at 30 degrees would be better replaced by a stroll in Washington, DC in sunny 65 degree weather! I am planning on diving Crystal Coast in the summer, so I will definitely be posting my results around June or July. Stay tuned!

Hey, I live in NC and I’m a new diver too. Were you looking for a regular dive partner at all?
