Looking for a dive buddy in the Virginia Beach/Hampton area. I’ am stationed on Naval Station Norfolk and I haven’t been diving in this area yet so anyone with knowledge about the area would be great.

Hey, I’m a lil ways away, up near DC. I haven’t been out there in a long time, but I hear Lynnhaven Dive Center is a pretty good source for that area, boat charters to wrecks, and such. You also have Lake Rawlings to dive in the Petersburg area if you ever want to travel inland.

Hey irving,

I am a VB diver and know of a boat and captain that are always looking for new divers. It’s a private boat and always a good crowd. Send me a friend request and hit me up when we get closer to the season. I am done for the year and usually start again in late june early july depending on the weather. I also know of a little known fresh water spot that totes some really cool underwater structure and wildlife.

I’ve heard Rawlings is ok but who wants to drive 2-3 hours for ok. I’ve never been there so I’m only going off what others say. I’d just rather be in the ocean or my local secret that always totes 30ft vis.

Talk to you soon.
