I will be in the Long Beach area 11/12/11 for a few weeks. Can you recommend some good dive sites and shops? Thanks again

Feel free to give me a call during the week on my cell (818)482-1220. We might even be able to hook up for a local dive. As for local shore dive spots the most popular are just about any cove in Laguna Beach, with the most popular being Shaws Cove. Having a guide who knows their way around can improve a dive at Shaws by 200% because there are a lot of hidden swim throughs to enjoy. If you are into photography I would recommend several spots in Palos Verdes. For night dives Vets in Redondo Beach offers some amazing critters. Casino Point dive park would be a don’t miss spot on Catalina Island in Avalon. The Catalina Express ferry offers trips every couple hours. And then there is a whole host of local dive boats you could get on. Call me and let me know what type of diving you prefer and I can steer you in the right direction. Welcome to Southern California!
