 kona shore diving

i will be in the kona area from 17 through 30 oct. anyone want to hook up and do some shore dives. I dont know the local shore areas so some one local would work best. I have been boat diving the 2 times i have been to kona in the past and it would be nice to get exposure to other sites. Lenny

I’m in Kona until the 18th. Too bad... but you should have a nice time diving. The weather is very nice, not quite as hot as it usually is and the waters are very calm and clear.

That’s an awesome list for shore diving. Make sure to read the all the reviews so you don’t run into surprises (difficult access, sea urchins, theft...). I dove off MM4 last year and the surge was quite strong and the sea urchins were big! Didn’t see the sharks but it was cool to dive around the lava tubes. Also, you can do a nice and easy night dive off the back of the King Kamehameha hotel off Kailua bay (see list).
