Hi. I’ve been living, working and diving tropical islands for the past few years, and am now stuck temporarily in Augusta, GA. I’m going into bubble blowing withdrawals. Anybody know where I can go to get wet? I’d like to take a local and check out the sites around here.

Thanks!

Happy Diving!

A group of us are meeting up at Crystal River this weekend to dive the Grotto and swim with the Manatees...I haven’t heard of anything in Augusta to dive...

Probably clarke hill at the strom thurmon dam on the ga/sc line. We take students to that spot a lot during the summer. They have some sunken ojects (plane, boat) that are fun to search for. i have a map if you would like. Also, lake jocasse in south carolina up near clemson university is a great place.

A map would be great! I’ve heard you could go diving at Thurmond, but don’t know much about it.

Jocasse is about 135 miles from Augusta its the best lake around IMO. Dry suits are nice this time of the year. Call Off The Wall they have a heated boat making trips year round.

I did, but I’m guessing that since you’re asking, you didn’t get my thank you. :) Can’t wait to give it a go.
