I’ve had the pleasure of meeting up with divers who were not necessarily single but we did share expenses and roomed together.
There are two ways I would look at this.
From a security stand point; if my wife was a diver and wanted to go on a dive trip and share expenses with another diver I would not be concerned if she were rooming with another female or two; or even sharing expenses with a male as long as there were at least two other females. I would have great concern is she wanted to share expenses with "Bull" or "Ernesto" or "Tank" or "Loverman 2000"; in other words a male. I have had nother but wonderful experiences with all of you however it is my duty to protect my family at all cost! Even here I’ve seen responses and forum subject that would lend to questionable character of some of the men (simply speaking in the context of their view on woman).
In the other respect I don’t have those same fears for myself and always welcome the opportunity to save a dollar or two. We can work around any annoyances between us to share our common passion "Diving". If you smoke, would you mind doing it outside of by the window. Yes I snore but I brought my "Breath Rights" with me. No I don’t drink but don’t mind if you do and if you pass out on the floor I’ll put a blanket over you. I don’t steal and will trust that you don’t either. WE CAN WORK IT OUT, NOW LET’S GO DIVE!!!
