This scamster created 9 bogus divebuddy accounts with different email addresses. The profile’s for each were hardly complete (no photo on most). Then this "idiot" started sending messages to divebuddy members through our site.
This was a big reason why I added a limit on daily and monthly messages. Paying members have much higher message limits. But a scamster is not going to pay anything.
If you get spam like this in the future, report the person’s profile that they sent the message from immediately. You will need to login, then visit their profile and click the Report link towards the top left. If a few different members report the profile as spam, it is automatically removed from our site.
I greatly appreciate everyone staying on top of this. It’s not a one man job and we need to do our best to keep the site clean and "idiot" free.
Excuse the blunt terms but people that send emails like that make me mad. Do they think we’re stupid or something? Oh yeah, here’s my bank info for you to transfer in your fathers billion dollars and I get to keep 10% of it for helping you.
