If you’re still in the market for a dive buddy, I live in CT also (Old Saybrook) and am looking for a buddy with compatible schedules and interests. I am usually available to dive only on weekends, but I can be persuaded to take a day off from work to go diving. I usually shore dive in CT, RI and MA and I try to get in a couple of boat dive charters every year. I enjoy playing with my GoPro and metal detector when I can, but I’m just as happy to swim around and sightsee. I don’t have a dry suit, which shortens my season a bit, but I can tolerate pretty cold water in my 7mm suit.
I have been diving for over 45 years, so I’m old and slow! I try to keep my skills current by taking courses periodically also.
