Your talking long term storage of several years so I would place stuff in sealed containers with Silica Gel Packs to take care of any moisture that wasn’t removed or gets in. The reason for sealed is to ward off rodents and insects that are more then willing to make good use of your gears high tech materials. Sealed containers means any type of container that can be sealed, bags included.;) All the other suggestions are viable and is pretty much what I do but my gear isn’t sitting still for several years without being disturbed. As long as you can be sure rodents or insects aren’t a problem then it should be fine. As for the wetsuit and BC use a heavy duty hanger that has a large radius over the top where the gear makes contact to make sure creases don’t develop. You may be able to stuff padding over the top to prevent creases.
