I was the same way back in 2005 when I was first certified. I was meeting people that had gotten certified but never dived again because they didn’t know anyone. I started getting people’s names and emailing with them and keeping a list of the local divers. Now, in 2013 I head the largest Scuba Group in Middle GA with almost 100 members. I never made it an official club, it’s just my group. But we have Meet and Greets abot once a quarter and do a few trips a year that range from beginner (Ginnie Springs, etc) to Advanced diving such as the Oriskany or Outer Banks. There may be a group like that in your area you can find with Scuba Earth, or start your own. I can tell you, it is a LOT of work, but in the long run, it’s worth it.. Good luck with it.
