Hey guys, I dive around Long Island, and would have no problem buddying up with you guys, schedule permitting. Ponquogue Bridge is kind of a drift dive but doesnt go pass I believe 17 feet or so. You can follow a pipe all the way out to where the whole dive takes place. Diving the Mt. Sinai Jetty could get rough and you should def go with someone who is expierenced. A populated dive is at Beach 8th street in Far Rockaway, a lot of people dive there, esp on the weekends. Thats where I did my checkout ocean divies during the certification process. If you want you can also join "The Long Island Dive Club. You can google the club for more info, they do dives all the time and also hold monthyl meetings as well.
