Before I purchased my scooter I had to evaluate where I was going to be diving in the next couple years. I want to get into the caves, but most of my diving is off shore wreck diving. I didn`t want to compromise so I picked up a scooter that I would be able to switch out tubes--the short boddy for wrecks and a longer one for caves. If you get a scooter first determine what it will be used for and where you want to be diving in the next couple years. Also, do you wnat to travel with it? Mine is heavy and not too airline friendly. If you decide on a quality scooter that can grow withy you you`ll be looking at spending around $3500.
