you can pick up a used mako for a $1000 on ebay or any technical web site , someone is always selling one to upgrade, mako are rated to 180 feet or so, 60+or- burn time, not to heavy, easy to maintain, and parts are everywhere, if you want to get into wreck or cave it will start you down the road, not to hard to tote on a boat if need be. you could go cheaperand smaller but i don`t think you be happy later on.
