Are you only available on Mondays? There`s a great club dive coming up on December 3 (Saturday) at Point Lobos just south of Monterey. The group is called AIM (Aquatic Image makers). Check out their September 2007 newsletter (www.sacaim.org/pdf_files/september_2007.pdf) for a description. This is a preserve and a great area to dive. Also, I go down to Monterey a lot on weekends anyway, but the Point Lobos dives are free. The other dives that I do are typically boat dives that run around $80 to $85. You can do shore dives from the Coast Guard getty (it has a dive shop, showers, etc.) and you will see some fairly good marine life, but a lot of certification classes are going on there every weekend.
