Anyone have any experience with the new Bigblue VTL2500P light?

I’ve never used it...but what a dive light! Up to 2500 lumens, rated to 328 feet underwater, rechargeable, aluminum alloy housing...pretty impressive, but with a high cost at $429.

I have the BigBlue VL1300 and love it as a video light. Nice even wide beam. I haven’t seen the 2500 model but I have to imagine it’s pretty amazing at almost double the power. The build quality on my 1300 is really nice. I’ve owned and used it for 3 years now without any issue. My only thought would be that it may be too much power?? I use a 500 lumen torch for most of my diving/camera work and even that is sometimes too bright. When shooting video with my 1300 I typically have to use 50% power. So it will be nice at times to have all that power, maybe in a cave or on a night dive. And if you use the lower power settings the rest of the time you will stretch the battery life out quite a bit.

google search brought me here ... looking at this same light too !! I felt blind using my anemic Princeton Tec 390 Miniwave diving with others who had 1000+ Lumen handhelds. The proverbial, knife to a gun fight comes to mind.
