 New Years Day - Mermet Springs, IL

There will be 4-5 of us going to Mermet Springs, IL for our annual New Year’s Day dive. If anyone wants to meet us there the more the merrier.

Great dive site, with heated changing rooms and hot showers. Last year they had a news crew onsite that actually did some interviews and filmed ~40 of us all doing a giant stride off the docks at the same time.

We’re heading up the 31st to celebrate NYE at the casino and then will be there for the annual dive that starts at noon.

I created a calendar event as well where you can RSVP if you want to meet up.

I understand - Long drive for a short dive; Just throwing the offer out there for people who may want to make a dive and hook up with some fellow DiveBuddy people also.

I could stay here in Nashville and dive 2 different sites both a 30 minutes drive or less, but this is New Years so I personally want to ring in the new year a little bigger than that so we’re making a trip. :-)
