[Choose #5] Not for me but for others it is fine!

[Choose #5] Listen. All of you say you shouldn’t do it with tanks. Why? I think freediving is worse for the environment. A free diver has one breath of air to dive all the way down to where ever he or she is hunting and shoot a fish. Scuba can be selective

[Choose #5] No trigger, no scuba, and tight limit. There aren’t any oceans left that are today as they were - none. If we cannot get divers excited about conservation, then just who is going to get into the game?

[Choose #5] Its the best type as long as you dont waste the fish. i also dont like it when people do it with tanks, this way you give the fish a chance. iif you use tanks its like hunting cattle with a sniper rifle

[Choose #5] As long as the fish are eaten and it is done legally.

[Choose #5] As long as it’s done fairly. No scuba gear. "Hunting" should be done in a fair way. So I would say, manual spear as well.

[Choose #4] Best type of fishing as long as you give the fish a chance and freedive down to shoot it, it’s also more exciting.

[Choose #5] Fine provided it is not done with scuba gear, should be free diving only

[Choose #4] No question about it. Avoids distended air bladders and other stress on bycatch and the selectivity means that endangered species are left alone and invasives are taken out. Pretty much all Florida spearfishing tournaments have a Lionfish prize.

[Choose #5] I would try it just to say I did it but I don’t particularly care for it, at least not using a spring loaded spear gun.

[Choose #4] puts food on my table!

[Choose #4] I don’t but it’s targeted unlike hook and line where the stressed fish is throne back in. No bycatch!

[Choose #5] It’s not for me, but I don’t have an issue with other divers engaging in it. But if you do spearfish, you’re now part of the food chain down there and you’re fair game to anything that is attracted to your catch! Fair is fair!

[Choose #4] While there are those who abuse the name, spearfishing puts people in connection with what they take from the ocean. I grew up around commercial fishing in Alaska, necessary i guess but its hard to see that many fish be taken sometimes.

[Choose #5] Not a vegetarian by any means, however our oceans are so depleted of their resources, we should be sustainable. While many divers/spearfishers are, many are also not

[Choose #2] Not sure, I see it when I am in Florida, but up here it is not allowed so have no real exporsure. Seems like it is a better more selective means of fishing. I have always wanted to go down to the Keys and do one of those Lion fish derby things.

[Choose #4] Its the best way for ME to harvest fish, due to the excitement. Its probably not the best way to harvest overall though.

[Choose #4] So many short fish never survive being caught at depth & released
