some of us are putting together a trip to Pensacola and I am seeing if others are interested in joining us. We are limited to 6 total divers including me. Let me know if anyone is interested. Two tanks dives are 100 dollars each and do not include tanks. We will share cost of gas and camp.

Pensacola Wreck Dives

September 27-30th

We will drive down on Friday and dive Saturday and Sunday with

http://www.duesouthcustomcharters.com/
Capt Dalton will take us on a two tank dive each day to wrecks off the

coast.

Specific dive sites are usually selected by the Captain on the day of the

trip based on dive conditions, diver requests, and diver experience.

Some of the possibilities are here:

http://www.mbtdivers.com/Local%20Dives.htm

He will pick us up each day at http://www.mbtdivers.com/ so if you

need equipment such as tanks or whatever you can get it from them.

You are responsible for your own equipment rental! Charter Boats are

privately owned and do not provide tanks or weights. To expedite the

rental process, it is recommended reserving equipment ahead of time.

Capt. Dalton recommends a 3 mil wetsuit for this time of year. We will be

diving wrecks so please wear gloves and bring a dive knife just in case.

This is a buddy dive and we will be sharing expenses. This means sharing

gas and food. We plan on camping at either:

http://www.floridastateparks.org/biglagoon/
or

http://www.nps.gov/guis/planyourvisit/fort-pickens.htm
Big Lagoon is closer to the dive shop, but does not allow shore diving and

Ft Pickens does. The Capt says we will be in by 2 pm each day so it depends

on whether the group feels they want to shore dive. Ft Pickens has strong

current depending on the tides so my preference is to save it for another

time, but it is up to the group.
