 Malibu CA thru 7/6. Want to try a shore dive

Anybody familiar with the Malibu shore dive scene? I’d very much like to try a shallow dive here. I need to rent a 7mm suit, hood, gloves, not to mention a tank or two. But otherwise, I’m good to go.

Just Malibu? Malibu is nice, but there are a lot better shore dives in Palos Verdes and Laguna Beach a little more South. And many more oportunities to find groups to join.
