Would you consider paying your local dive center a monthly membership fee for services such as the following:

- free air fills
- free annual tank inspections
- one free reg inspection (every two years)
- 1/2 price rental gear
- discount on purchased scuba gear and accessories
- discount on continued education
- free quarterly lunch or dinner with other divers from shop

List other items your dive shop could potentially offer as part of this monthly membership in the comment section.

Tsmith0711 - 4/25/2009 4:10 AM
[Choose #5] No, we would not pay. We own most of our own equipment, we don’t use the shop to dive. The people may change in the shop, whom we may not care for. We are going to drive 2 hours away for a dive shop we like for our advanced.

[Choose #1] This is a stupid idea because it makes sense we would all dive more with a program like this it would be a win win thats why it will never happen

#1213
kwestby - 4/02/2009 8:12 AM

[Choose #5] No, I paying dive shop for monthly membership. Dive shops with THEIR OWN clubs are, in my opinion, a conflict of interest for the entire conservation community; shops should sponsor local clubs!

jimzz430 - 3/31/2009 10:54 AM

[Choose #5] I would consider it...at least during the diving months. I live in Illinois and probably wouldn’t want to pay when the possibility of diving is zero
#3443
theop - 3/30/2009 9:20 AM
[Choose #4] it depends on the how much you spend on air fill/instections and etc ... check your credit card for the last year and do the match
#174
vanessar - 3/30/2009 6:39 AM
[Choose #3] I already pay a membership fee monthly
#15
Marisa - 3/30/2009 6:37 AM
[Choose #4] I think this is a great idea for those divers that own their tanks, however I do not own my own tank. So this is not appealing to me. I do own a BCD and regulator.
#2109
diverjay - 3/30/2009 6:31 AM
[Choose #4] I don’t feel that I get to dive enough to justify this monthly payment.
#2513
lreese2 - 3/30/2009 5:51 AM
[Choose #5] I don’t dive enough for this to do me any good.
#28736
RAWalker - 3/30/2009 2:22 AM

#506
steelheadfish - 3/29/2009 10:03 AM
[Choose #4] free air should be standard for those who bougth their gear at the shop
#7104
BgDmbRngr - 3/29/2009 9:32 AM
[Choose #3] Make them differant level of memberships though. Like gold is full unlimited and silver is say, 2 air fills a month with what ever. And then they can tailor the membership to their needs maybe.
#5471
DiveBuddyChgo - 3/29/2009 5:44 AM
[Choose #4] I usually just buy air cards.. thats all I need from a dive shop.
#1961
LanceMeyer - 3/28/2009 10:44 PM

#2566
jreitz1 - 3/28/2009 9:54 PM

#1462
charstew - 3/28/2009 8:53 PM
[Choose #1] Great Idea Greg! I like that.. You’d have to have alot of people to make it work. The lunch is good to, grill dogs and burgers play music and put up a volleyball net. You have a good head on your sholders.
#135
JimSTX - 3/28/2009 7:04 PM
[Choose #3] $25 for all that is a deal or even for some combination of it. I’d accept a tiered system, as I don’t expect free air, inspections, etc plus all those discounts for that low price. I just can’t afford anything more.
#7367
UWnewbee - 3/28/2009 11:03 AM
[Choose #2] depending on what services would be in the contract of the membership
