So I just checked in - and the DiveBuddy community has a LOT of work to do for Jillian and Duncan to be in the running. There are currently 170 other couples ahead of them in the running and they are almost 350 votes behind the number one entry!
In the three years I’ve known Jillian the only thing she’s asked is for a bit of support regarding shark conservation and public relations for sharks with divers and non-divers alike. If Jillian and Duncan win they have pledged a chunk of cash that they would have spent on a wedding to a shark conservation charity. They win and we all win!
We’re over 16,000 members now on DiveBuddy.com. Hey guys-Sharky Jillian here!!
Yes, we signed up late and are behind. I normally don’t ask for anything like this, but Dunk and I are marine biologists that could never afford a dream wedding. We love what we do, but we all know we are not in it for the money. If we win we are donating $1000.00 to Bahamas National Trust for the campaign to make all of the Bahamas a shark sanctuary. We are very passionate about this and have been actively involved in shark conservation in the Bahamas for nearly 5 years. Thank you for taking the time to vote.
