Letting my sister cook it!!! LOL

We celebrated our T-day Saturday so travelers wouldn’t have to deal with the holiday traffic. My sister cooked the bird and it was so dry you could have used it to clean up oil spills. (I don’t use gravy, trying to watch my cholesterol)

Brine it, drain it, dry it, inject it, flour & seasons, in the deep fryer it goes

Deep frying seems to be the big thing. It cooks quicker & is more convenient. I will have to try this in the near future. Injecting is something we tried but not as much success inregards to flavor. The brine really helps flavor the turkey entirely.

Ah but as everything else, timing is critical and ingredients, injecting is best done min 4+ hours (longer the better) or more before cooking! Saving some unused brine is great injected!

I inject my turkey with creole butter (available at the grocery stores) or franks red hot mixed with melted butter. Then it is off to the deep fryer in the back yard. Fried turkey is hands down the best way to prepare turkey. I learned the art in Georgia when visiting my friends there. Yummy.
