At the end of the point that delimits the southern part of Baltimore Bay, located about 75 m from the shore, a small shoal comes close to the surface of the water at about 2 m. A single small island of vegetation shelters a small school of bass. There is a beautiful cliff offshore (east side) that sinks to more than 130 feet. Heading south, at the bottom of the bay, there is a lot of marine life among the dead trees. Yellow perch, bass and white suckers have taken up residence there.

Here again, it is easy to anchor directly on the shoal or at the bottom of the bay for better protection. The place is ideal for beginner divers and even for non-divers who wish to observe marine life while snorkeling.

More details available at Scubarama’s Massawippi page: in French, English (Google Translate).
