This is a large man-made lake. Both a great and safe location for anyone who has never experienced low visibility lake diving. Gas engine boats are not permitted (lots of kayakers). The lake itself is very clean (i.e., you do not have to worry about entanglement or running into something.). Most of the lake’s depth ranges between 7-13 feet. There is an old small bridge towards the center of the lake. Something to see and adventure discovering in attempting to locate it, if one is unfamiliar with the lake. Lake has lots of bass, you will "sometimes" see fish down there. Location is easily accessible from parking lot and very friendly to dive from. It also sports two playgrounds for kids, picnic area with grills, bathrooms/changing area, and a clean man-made beach. Beautiful area to spend the afternoon with family and take a quick dive while they play. Due note that visibility within the lake is poor (4-6 feet). While not the most exciting dive location when compared to more formal dive spots, it is about the only safe area to dive in that also happens to sport public facilities. This is an easy and safe dive that is a little gem within the northwestern region of Georgia that few know about.
