Access can be gained via the ramp marked for "Fire Department Use Only" that leads to the base of the bridge. Vehicle parking is allocated to the area of the pavilion across the street from the access ramp. A dive marker float is needed as boat traffic can be heavy particularly during the summer.

To the east of the bridge, downstream, there is an intact small boat that had sunk many years ago that sits in 15 feet of water. Sometimes it is visible and other times it is covered by silt. Storms and ice force debris under the bridge which gives plenty of cover for fish to hide within. Treasure hunters may find something interesting by following the bridge to the far side of the river and combing the area around the floating stage where boaters are moored during concerts.

Divers are suppose to complete a waiver/ permit and return it to the Woodward Township Police Department before diving.
