Location: Pompano Beach (outer reef)

Description: Shark Reef is a continuation of the outer reef running parallel to the shoreline. The western edge of the collapse feature has the highest concentration of marine life. The northern half of the tract has the most definition. Sharks are seen occasionally on the eastern side (spurs & grooves), probably due to the proximity to "Wreck Alley".

Navigation: It’s best to start around the middle and drift north along the main ledge. This is the best scenic route. Venture east into the spurs & grooves and you may get a shark sighting. Also if you are bug hunting try the small reef patch off the north end
