The Piedmont Diving and Rescue Association, Inc. (PDRA) is an organization that is chartered by the Secretary of State of North Carolina under NC Statutes 55A, non-profit corporations. Members of PDRA are individual and family divers predominately from North Carolina, southern Virginia and upper South Carolina. Our purpose is to promote safe scuba diving and to offer our members affordable inland diving. PDRA offers the finest inland diving in North Carolina. The benefits offered by the PDRA cannot be matched by any other dive organization for the same fee. Members have year round access to the dive sites. Quarries are open 24/7, 365. All members are issued a key to the quarry gate. The PDRA is not a seasonal operation; fall and winter diving is just as popular as spring and summer

Facilities provided at all quarries include changing areas (trailers or buildings), picnic shelters with tables, sanitation facilities, easy entry areas and parking. J.M. Robertson Quarry in Caswell County has a large building (over 3300 square feet) with electricity, where clubs and large groups can meet for social activities.

Over 1000 divers including their families have found affordable diving with access to the conveniently located PDRA Quarries a fun alternative to expensive ocean diving. Our facilities are open to members 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. These facilities offer opportunities for honing diving skills as well as camping and cooking out. Our quarries offer interesting underwater "attractions" as well as dressing and bathroom accommodations (some with electricity).
