Sunk 4 Feb, 1945 in the North Channel east of Malin Head, in position 55.17N, 06.44W, by depth charges from the British frigates HMS Loch Scavaig, HMS Nyasaland, HMS Papua and HMS Loch Shin. 48 dead (all hands lost).
