Sandals Ocho Rios is a boat accessible salt water dive site, located in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. This dive site has an average rating of 4.27 out of 5 from 22 scuba divers. The average visibility is 71-80ft/22-24m.

This is actually a collection of dive sites hosted by the Sandals resort based out of Ocho Rios, Jamaica. There are multiple sites, including a swim through semi-overhead reef, at least one ship (did not appear suitable for penetration) called the Catherine and a reef they call a wall (seemed more of a slope to me). Note that the sites appear to be shared between Grande Ocho Rios and Dunn’s River.

All of these sites are free for resort guests, except during a night dive. Their website lists doubles diving as available, but no doubles rigs were seen by me during my recent trip. Night dives are an extra charge of $80 per person and all dives require registration the day prior. You must bring your log and c-card(s) to dive, and will be required to do a "checkout" dive with them in the pool if you have not been under in the previous six months (at an extra charge). Additionally, you will be required to make a shallow dive for your first dive, these are in the afternoon and are generally 30-40 fsw for 30 minutes.

My first REAL dive and I loved it! It was a relaxing, peaceful dive while on my honeymoon and may be the ONLY reason we go back to a Sandals!

Sandals is not a dive resort but offers two tank dives each morning and a shallow dive in the afternoons. Great way to get some diving in on vacation.

I forgot to mention there was also an abundance of Rays, sea slugs, puffer fish, and parrot fish. Everywhere we turned, there was a ray.

The water is extremely clear, with visibility while we were there no less than 70’.

My husband and I dove at Ochos Rios in February 09. We saw so many things. There is an abundance of lobster, eels, octopus, barracudas, etc at the many sites. Our favorite site was the Catherine as our guide lead us through a beautiful reef (cave) that was abundant with beautiful corals and marine life.
