A single large pinnacle stands like a watch tower between the wall and the abyss. Manned by a shy green moray eel, the pinnacle top sprouts deepwater gorgonians and sea rods. Plates of sheet coral, mounding star, brain and cup corals cover the wall like a knight’s armor and tube sponges poke out like cannons. The top of the wall swarms with juvenile reef fish, blue tang and the rare indigo hamlet. Look for coral grottoes and goby cleaning stations at the crests and keep an eye open for spotted eagle rays and hawksbill turtles cruising in from the deep.
