Loading...
Hanaka’o’o Beach Park (aka Canoe Beach) is a shore accessible salt water dive site, located in Laihaina, HI. This dive site has an average rating of 3.00 out of 5 from 2 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 41-50ft/12-15m.

Visited Canoe Beach during my OWC. This had a fairly easy shore entry, good restroom facilities and showers. Underwater, very clear, good reefs, plenty of turtles and other creatures. Did not have to swim too far out to get to see interesting underwater life.

Canoe Beach is the county beach park that is just south of Ka’anapali Beach in Lahaina. The beach is connected toKa’anapali Beach; only the name changes as you go north. Unlike Ka’anapali Beach, however, Canoe Beach has no hotels, no shops, no restaurants, and few tourists. If you’re looking for a relatively undeveloped beach in Lahaina with ample parking and lifeguards, this beach is a good choice. The beach gets its name from the many Hawaiian outrigger canoes on shore. This beach is the launching point for many of the canoe clubs on Maui, including the Kahana Canoe Club, the Lahaina Canoe Club, and the Napili Canoe Club. You may get to see paddlers practicing or even racing here. Canoe beach is also a good place to launch a sea kayak or sailboat from.
