Capt Keith Tibbetts Wreck - Cayman Islands

Loading...
Capt Keith Tibbetts Wreck is a salt water dive site, located in Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands. This dive site has an average rating of 3.92 out of 5 from 12 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 71-80ft/22-24m. The average visibility is 61-70ft/19-21m.

With a maximum depth of 110 feet under the exposed bow and the main deck at 40 feet, every diver can find a comfortable profile on the only diveable Soviet warship in the Western Hemisphere. The ship has shifted since sinking and the props are now buried in sand while the bow surfs on a wave of sand. A thin coat of algae has encrusted the vessel and nudibranchs have taken residence in the wheelhouse, where divers can safely penetrate the top three decks. From the bow, you can overlook the drop-off while schooling permit, yellowtails and snapper cruise by.

Great wreck dive. Plenty of penetrations points. Good dive for a newer wreck diver!

Did this from shore, and from a small boat. Amazing visibility!

A beautiful wreck in waters available to recreational divers. Great visibility, plenty of soft coral and sponges have taken root here, and the wreck is still in great shape.
