Great dive. Small island right off of the Isle of Shoals. A boat is necessary to access. Harbor Seals and Grey Seals often occupy this area making the dive very interesting.

There are a lot of lobster and a wide variety of fish on this side of Appledore. Good diving in the old dock cribs too. Large chain from the old dock can still be seen. Lots of sealife lives in and around the cribbing. The bay just north of Babb’s Rock has a course sandy bottom that is easy to dive and train in. Keep an eye out for boat traffic in the university mooring field. It’s a great place to dive if the ocean has kicked up on the outside.

This is a great location if you have access to a boat. Portsmouth Scuba and Atlantic Aquasport both can hook you up with a charter at a reasonable price! Lots of sea life and kelp. The seals are very curious. Perhaps only 25’, but no need to go lower to see really cool diving!
