On our way to LA for a scuba tradeshow, we noticed a scuba flag on a road sign that said "Blue Hole". Being in New Mexico, in the middle of what appeared to be desert...we had to stop. We were pleasantly surprised by the Blue Hole. It’s an oasis for sure! Crystal clear, cold water in a cylindrical hole in the ground going down 90 feet. If you float on the surface and look down, you can see all the way to the bottom. There is a great rock ledge to jump from. Our kids had a great time playing around the surface of the water.
