Received my Advanced Open Water qualification this weekend. The storms and the rain had the water stirred up so vis was pretty low for the mine. On the deep dive the vis was very good, +40’. The training was through Mick’s Scuba in Moorhead. Guy was a great instructor. Three of us in the Advanced class. Other than Peak Performance Buoyancy, Deep and Nav we did night and photo. I didn’t really care for the night dive because the vis was so low. Would have been fun otherwise with all the structure in the water. Went down to 77’ on the deep dive. Temp was 39 degrees. Only stayed down for a few minutes to do some training stuff. The camera I had crapped out so I didn’t get pictures. Too bad, the fish were all around me. I highly recommend Mick’s for all scuba needs.
