West Palm Beach- 6/30/08 West Palm Beach- 6/30/08
ScubaStevesWife - 6/30/2008 9:24 AM
Dive season this year has been very hectic, not that I’m complaining. This season alone, I’ve assisted with multiple classes and have met about 100 different new divers. We have been doing our last two check out dives with Bill Walker’s Dive Charters in West Palm Beach, "The Wetter the Better". He runs a great service out of the North Palm Beach Marina, and his Divemasters on board are very informative and helpful. For the last few weeks, turtle sightings have escalated. Usually we would only se...
Kayak Diving Kayak Diving

I`ve owned a kayak now for over a year. We have cruised the mangrove isles here on the Space Coast of Florida, visited Key Largo`s Pennecamp State Park, journeyed up and down some of Central Florida`s Rivers, and now we`re thinking about integrating our love of kayaking with our passion for diving. I read the cover story of "Dive Training" magazine, June 2007 publication-- and its a whole article on Kayak Diving. It suggests the sit on top kayak variety, which I do own one (its a Wilderness Syst...
Devil`s Den- Williston, FL 08/12/07
ScubaStevesWife - 8/13/2007 9:29 AM
Early Sunday morning, I headed up to Williston, Florida to visit Devil`s Den. I usually avoid diving in springs at all costs. I like warm water. I like big fish. I hate wearing a wet suit. BUT for the first time in my life, I truly enjoyed this spring dive site, and of course there were "Who`s Your Buddy" stickers everywhere... a reminder of the get together I had missed. We got an awesome spot right by the staircase, under a pavillion to set up. The temperature was already up to 92+ degrees whi...
West Palm Beach, FL- 08/11/07
ScubaStevesWife - 8/11/2007 8:38 PM
I just got back from West Palm Beach. I went diving with our STA Scuba Diving group, got a few of our buddies certified, and enjoyed an awesome day of drift diving. We dove with Diving Solutions, and did the AM and PM two tank dives. Exhausting but well worth it. Its bug season, so we were on the hunt. We saw plenty of them, but we only caught one lobster. We were the only ones on the boat casually looking for them, but it was exciting to bring it up and show off our trophy, AND it WAS DELICIOUS...
Boiler Wreck- Vero Beach, FL
ScubaStevesWife - 8/07/2007 12:26 PM
Sunday, August 5th, Scuba Steve and I decided to skip our dive trip planned to Devil`s Den in Williston, Florida- instead we headed south to Vero Beach, Florida. The forecast for 1-2 foot waves and barely any wind held true. We arrived at the site just after 7am, and saw we were not alone on our endeavor. There must of been about eight other divers suiting up that had the same idea as we did. The Boiler wreck is located just off shore, and the visibilty is usually 0, except for the awesome days ...
Grand Cayman East End Diving Grand Cayman East End Diving
ScubaStevesWife - 7/12/2007 12:00 AM
I will post a picture later of my trip, but I just wanted to start out with--- It was INCREDIBLE! We stayed at Ocean Pointe on the East End of Grand Cayman. Its in a rural area, closest complete grocery store was 20 minutes away. The complex was PERFECT! We stayed in a one bedroom condo. All the rooms are ocean front, full kitchens, TV/DVD/Stero, Jacuzzi bath tubs, washer/dryer, and SO much more. There was a pool on site, but you can only swim when there are no classes being taught in the pool. ...
