P-39 Airacobra, St. Clair River, MichiganSunday August 5th 2007: Dove the P-39 Airacobra Fighter Plane that a Tuskeegee Airman crash landed in the North Channel of the St. Clair River in 1942. It obvioulsy obliterated on impact put pretty cool dive. Found some .50 caliber ammo, Allison V-12 engine, landing gear, lots of aluminum sheet metal, parachute cord etcetera.

Exactly where is this dive site as I would love to see any type of P-39/P-63 fighter aircraft. What are usual conditions at the dive site with regards to vis, current, depth, and temp? And, is it on the Canadian or American side of the river?
