July 14, 2007. I got up to Dutch Springs early. You definitely need to if you want a good parking spot. otherwise it is a long walk. My friends refer to it as the Mecca of East Coast Diving. I got there early and found out they only take MC and Visa. DAMN, I only had my American Express (don`t leave home without it. After I found an ATM and got in, I was amazed at all the tents. I walked around and saw the peninsula side and the student side. I checked out the Dutch Springs Shop. I met a bunch of people. I finally found the KBW truck. Guys, You do need a bigger banner!! I met Keith and they had already done their first dive, but Mark, the BARE Rep, hadn`t gotten in yet so off we went. They hooked me up with a wetsuit, weights, and tank for free. We made it went down checked out two of the boats. I found a brick with a number on it. Mark only let me take one. I took pictures of the rest we found. We chased a couple of fish around and I got to played with my new camera. It was a fun time. I got out and there was a burger waiting for me on the grill. It was amazing. They made me feel welcome. I hope I get to dive with them again soon. I have since gotten my own 7MM BARE wetsuit and weight. I think when I go to Dutch Springs again, I am definitely picking up a slate with the Map on it. There is so much to see, I just want to make sure I don`t miss anything.
