A UK based company has just launched canned oxygen onto the market. Oxygen is very trendy at the moment, being used by many celebrities and sports people as a way to sharpen their thinking and improve their physical performance. It’s kind of like taking an energy drink, but without the calories, caffeine, sugar and the “low” that comes afterwards!


We think every diver should have a can in his or her kit bag. It’s not a substitute for medical oxygen in a DCS incident, although it’s probably better than nothing. But after a long, deep or arduous dive, taking a few shots will certainly help you to off-gas, and will clear the brain of any lingering narcosis.
