Rating Added: 4 A great little spot in Athens to spend the day. Nice shade all around with clean facilities. Not very deep and gets warm in the summer. Have never seen a fish in this lake. Kinda strange....
Rating Added: 5 Great facilities and good service. I like all the different structures they have placed in the lake. I understand they have or will soon place a new jet plane in the south end. Visibility can change quickly so arrive early....
Rating Added: 3 Good place to practice skills or test gear. Not worth a long trip and certainly nothing to explore. I remember a lot of red-eared slider turtles hanging at the surface and darting down at us when they realized something was beneath. I...

I went scuba diving here on 7/22/2017. Average viz: 5-10ft/2-3m. Water temp: 76-80°F/24-27°C. I found tons of cool stuff along the clifs and edges at around 30-40 feet. Everything below was old....

Love to dive? Love picking up trash? Need a team for the 2010 TrashFest? Join one of the teams, we’d love to have you. Each year, DiveBuddy members attend the TrashFest in the Comal River, New Braunfels, Texas. We clean up the mess that the tubers leave behind. In 2009, our team alone took out over 1 ton worth of trash! That’s more than all the other teams combined. Not sure what the 2010 season has in store for us...but I’ll bet we’ll get our fair share of the trash. Join DiveBudd...

SO I went on a solo dive yesterday to Clear Springs in Terrell, Texas. The water felt good at 68 degree’s untill I hit 17 feet, That is where the thermocline started at, the water went to 50 degrees and stayed that way all the way down to 50 feet. Vis was about 8-12 feet. Outside temp was 75-78 degrees. I found the Steel shark and just had to do a swim threw. Yeah I have been threw a Shark, The diving was great though, any time under water is great me. I made 2 dives at about 30-40 min each....
