I’ve seen divers from novice through course director playing with every type of creature they can find from Octopus and turtles to sharks and seals. I will plead the 5th on my encounters. Should dive guides/shops give more classes/briefings about not kicking, standing on, or touching coral? Not touching the wildlife/fish/anything? Or Should everyone experience the feel of turtle shells, octopus, and fire coral? If you are in this boat please make your choice. If you have an opinion please answer the survey too. Feel free to leave comments or message me. I see mostly Tech divers using them; however, I’ve dove a few times with guys using a 6lb steel back plate for recreational ocean diving. I thought it was a good idea at the time. What is your choice when diving a modular harness/BC? If you don’t dive one but have buddies who do, what is their style of choice?

Info from Other DiveBuddy Members

I have received a plethora of useful information about dive sites, accommodations, and dive shops for locations around the world through DiveBuddy members; however, I’ve noticed some of the methods I’ve used to solicit this information has been futile. I want to dive and enjoy the local sites. Any suggestions for areas which have good winter diving would be greatly appreciated. Part of me thinks the Cayman Islands and another part says "Florida, Disneyworld for land based fun, plus I can dive their aquarium and the local coastal waters." I am looking for nice temps and visibility. I have a dry suit and ample cold water diving near my home during this time of year :) Thanks for any input out there.
