The Blue Lagoon will be re-opening next weekend. Sure, there are other lakes open all year, but take any excuse to go diving that you can get. Plus, the visibility is usually spectacular early in the season. Last year during the first weekend the visibility was probably 30-40 feet! You could see from one boat to the next; it was unbelievable seeing lagoon so clear. You can camp on site. Water temperatures are expected to be in the low to mid 60’s. If that’s too cold for you to go diving, why not come up to the Blue Lagoon and just hang out? After all, you can get Shiner in aluminum cans. A group of fellow CHUM members will be there diving. Join them and say hi from Dutch for me! If anyone wants to join in, it looks like a two week trip with flights from Amsterdam, transfers to the hotel, two weeks bed and breakfast based on double will cost about 650 Euros. The 10 day 2 boat dives per day will run around 350 Euros. That is 1000 Euros and at today’s exchange rates that is $1300.
