I don’t know what’s what with camera’s. Can anybody recommend affordable, good underwater camera? (depth 40m)
I’m looking for something that is point, push button, great picture in various light conditions. I have a pentax optio L40 digital camera, it’s an awesome camera, flash range of 10m. Unfortunately, no underwater housing available for it. I’m looking for a similar type camera.
 Any suggestions?

I am going to be sitting my advanced open water dives/certifications in Thailand in April 2009. I see that if I do certifications separately they can take up to 4 dives/2 days per certification. By doing 5 certifications over 5 dives in 2 days ... is this not completely circumventing the safe diving system???Or do these dives simply count toward your advanced open water and you do not actually become certified in these areas. For instance I want to to wreck, cavern and night diving as specialties. If I do them as a part of my Adv Open Water course, are they simply specialty-orientated dives instead of being the actual certifications themselves, a taster for want of a better word?Looking foward to someone shedding some light on this.

 Hi Guys,

My name is Ray Lightbourne, I very happy to now be a part of this forum. I also excited to get to know as many of you as I can. I’m a huge dive fan, I’m actually an instructor from the Bahamas (shark diving, dolphin diving, wreck diving, cavern diving) there is great diving over here; I also dive in Florida and do World Expeditions. For the next 3 months I will be taking trips around the Caribbean and explore the very best there is, this includes high intensity animal interaction. If anyone is ever interested you can just email me. I’m looking forward to sharing my dive experiences with you and hearing about yours.

My wife and I don’t have a dive trip planned for October 2009. We definately need warm water, we prefer AC in the rooms, and we want a "world-class" dive operation.

The beef we had on our last dive trip was that we only had four dive sites to dive at on an Island that was 37 miles around. This island is in the South Pacific with lots of reefs.

We are looking for a dive-shop group or other organized group to dive with.

Any suggestions?

thanks, markm...

Lake Pleasant on Veteran’s Day

Category: Buddy Wanted

I have Tuesday off for Veteran’s Day and am looking for anyone interested in joining me for 2 dives at Lake Pleasant that day. She was looking for people to dive with in the warmer areas of the world, North Carolina "where I was" not being one of them. Some how fate led her to my pic. which being of my back showed a tat of intrest to her. She contacted me and from there forth we have been nearly inseperable. Matter of fact, givin the right time I hope that she would one day be my wife. We now live together in SC and are truly doing great!! So YES!! DiveBuddy Changed My Life!!!
