Founded the Shark Research Committee in 1963 as a non-profit, scientific research organization.Primary objective was to assist the Office of Naval Research and the Smithsonian Institution in documenting shark attacks along the Pacific Coast of North America. Field studies were expanded to include morphology and biology of the White Shark and shark interactions with humans.
