Started diving in the Arizona desert (of course, where else?) and the Sea of Cortez in 2005. Especially enjoyed diving with sea lions on three trips to Cortez. Completed NAUI AOW in the dark, frigid waters of Lake Champlain (Vermont) in 2006. Completed the Rescue Diver course in November 2007. In 2009, I plan to explore kayak diving but I am always ready for a local boat dive.

To pay for Nitrox fill-ups, I work a day job as a cross-border financial planner and house counsel (immigration law) for a Canada-US tax, planning, and wealth management firm.

Other interests: fitness, photography, military history, international relations, Islamic studies, learning golf (not a fanatic).

Looking forward to racking up bottom time and making new dive friends in 2009.

I am still in the experimental stages with the Canon and we haven`t really used it at depth yet - only in the 20-40` range. Will be travelling to the middle keys in October and trying it at a bit deeper depths then - but so far so good. I can see, however, why people invest in strobes as they get more serious about photography, etc.
