Wow - thanks for the invite! I haven’t been diving at Big C since 2014. Wait for it - the "but" is coming... However, I tore my BP/W apart to move some gear around last night. I’m getting rid of the ditchable weight pockets that came with it. Instead I’m going to the DUI Weight & Trim 3 system, allowing me to go from 5lbs to 10lbs on each side and designed to go on my webbing. Also, waiting for a replacement D ring and some tri-glides, new trim pockets for my tank bands (so btw my stainless steel BP, the WT3 & Trim pockets and the heavy as hell Apeks MTX-RC 1st Stage, I’ll be able to put more than enough weight on for 7mm wetsuit and a drysuit. Hopefully in the next week, the rest of my gear will arrive so I can string all this back together again.

I’ve been only using a 3mm full wetsuit for the dives around here. Thermocline has been anywhere from 16 to 19 ft we,ve been going as deep as 32 and the lowest temp was 58 degrees.

Hey FargoDiver50. There is an Whatsapp group called Fargo,Moorhead and Detroit Lakes Dive Buddies there are a few of us in the group and we plan dives in the area also we plan on diving either Thursday or Friday look it up and join the group.

My name is Jim I am a PADI divemaster. I dive as much as possible. You’re more than welcome to join me on any dive. I live in Ottertail County, I can show you some pretty fun spots. If you need any refresher let me know, I’m sure we can figure something out for that. I mainly dive with the team from Micks scuba, as they are my favorite people in the world! :)

Hi Jim, I’m Mark - I would love to get together and dive lakes in the OTC! Mick’s is where I got my OW back in 1997. Did some time on a dive rescue team back in my LEO days, and haven’t been in the water for 9 years. I’m just waiting to get a few more items to arrive, but I got more than enough gear to get me underwater right now.

I’m looking for someone who wants to get out and dive area lakes in the Fargo, ND/Moorhead, MN area. I’m available most weekends, and maybe an evening during the week if planned far enough in advance.
It’s been 2014 (9 years) since I was in the water last geared up, so nothing too outlandish on my docket - just get acquainted with my new gear for now. I would love to hit a bunch of the Otter Tail County lakes if anyone is interested.

Hi Mark, its worth it getting Whatsapp as we have a pretty nice group being formed and we are diving weekly in the DL area. Wanna dive - put out the word on the app when you want to go and you will likely get a response from someone who can go with you. Also, we are doing and planning more dives. Very local deal for us.
