I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! This year I resolve to dive every and any place that I have the ability too!

Tina Hawkins! Thanks for the info! I have now come across a dry suit but I will try to reach out to Marissa about the charter.

English is overrated these days anyway ;)

I will be heading out to San Diego to do some Ship Wreck diving. Looks like Yukon / Ruby e wrecks. I will also be doing some Lobster diving! I’ll be down there from Dec 11 - 14th. Maybe I’ll see some of you guys / ladies there!

If anyone has a good suggestion on where I can buy a affordable Semi-Dry or Rent a Dry suit sown in San Diego would be great as well!

Hey, there! Marissa dive charters rents dry suits. I was just there over Thanksgiving, the water temps were 62 degrees and I was very comfortable in a 7mm. Warm enough I wasn’t freezing between dives, either. Marissa was a great boat and crew, also check out Waterhorse charters. Their boat, the Humboldt is also excellent. Not sure about dry suit rentals with them, may want to check. The Humboldt is owned by Seamus who is a great friend of El Mar’s and also a partner in El Mar’s San Carlos boat, the Piesquita. I went with Marissa, last time, though, because the Humboldt wasn’t hitting the wrecks on the day I wanted to go. The Marissa was slated to do the Yukon and El Rey when I went but the day of they switched the El Rey to the Ruby which was a great dive! Anyway, hope that helps and have a blast!

Also, just a heads up, their can be some surge on those wrecks, it’ll push you back and forth quite a bit. Not terribly dangerous but can be challenging the first time you encounter it. You may not need this advice, but just stay relaxed, grab on to the boat if you want to look at something close up and the boat crews will brief you on how to hide from it and handle it best. But at least it’s not current! Great dive experience, though!

there...and I was an English major, too...sheesh!

So it looks like my site was having some issues with searching. I have now fixed that and you can finally do hotel searches again. Still building out the other side of the site but hope everyone can enjoy what I have up for now.

So I am currently building out a Scuba Vacations Website. ( GoScubaVacations.com ) Right now I am in the information gathering phase. I would like to know what divers like you would like to see on a site such as this? Also if you have locations and packages you would like to see offered on my site please reply or send me an email at eyeson_info@yahoo.com.

I even have bigger ideas for the Scuba Industry but that is something that I have yet to figure out and hope with time I will let all of you know about.

Until then please feel free to give me any advice you would have on what you want on a package site such as this! You can visit the site now but all I have to offer are Hotels.

Ok I want to reach out to all the Dive Buddies here. I want to know what you would like to see in a Scuba Dive Vacation Site?
Smithsgold - 8/27/2014 9:38 PM
Good food and good dive masters
eyeson - 8/28/2014 7:37 AM
Good to know. I agree that a good dive master is a must!
tinahawkins - 9/01/2014 12:18 PM
I look for a good dive boat. If there’s no pic of the boat, I move on. Has helped me avoid cattle boats or tiny uncomfortable 6-packers. Sometimes you won’t have that luxury but most of the time you do. No more than 12-15 divers on a boat or I pass every time I can.
Hawkeye54 - 9/02/2014 12:38 PM
Please specify: Are we talking about a dive vacation website, or the actual dive destination?
eyeson - 9/04/2014 8:28 AM
Sorry for the late reply. Hawkeye I am referencing to what you would look for in a Dive Vacation Web Site.
eyeson - 9/04/2014 8:29 AM
Tina - Thank you for the information regarding dive boat info and total diver list.
